Gmail App Is Getting the Ability to Make Voice, Video Calls in Major Update; Google Spaces Rollout Begins

Google is making Gmail a more powerful tool by integrating lots of Workspace features. Soon, users can place video and voice calls directly from their Gmail mobile or Web app. In November, Google Meet will get a ‘Companion mode’ update that enhances the video-conferencing experience.
